Nancy Livengood will assist the jury in evaluating materials for sustainability at the specific site as the commissioned piece must last for the continued benefit of the public. She serves as a materials guide, combining scientific concepts with the physical care of art.
In the three years Nancy has been the Public Art Conservator with Fulton County, she has been responsible for the 70 commissioned public art pieces and 20 legacy art pieces throughout the County, managed the Art on Loan program which provides the different departments the opportunity to display in their public spaces from the more than 500 artworks in Fulton County’s collection, curated and installed exhibitions in Peachtree Gallery and assisted in additional exhibitions throughout the County. Most recently, she has been responsible for the installation of 238 artworks in the renovated libraries from the Fine Art Acquisition Program (where 1% of the renovation budget was directed toward the purchase and maintenance of Fine Art for the spaces), culminating in the downtown Central Library opening to the public in October 2021.
